This is the blog of an Italian naturalist, Luca Boscain, who has chosen to share his experiences in the field he has, exploring the wide variety of habitats that lies along the Adriatic basin, including wetlands (Po delta, Isonzo mouth, Cerknica lake, etc), mountains (Alps, Dolomites, Dinaric Alps, etc), islands, forests and much more.

My interests go from birds to butterflies, reptiles, flowers, etc, so every trip or excursion can offer amazing discovers of rare and stunning living beings: sometimes amphibians are the most exciting, sometimes orchids, sometimes dragonflies. Nature is always a surprize for an ethusiastic naturalist. I hope my followers will enjoy my sharing of knowledge and emotions.
